The Magdala Project

The Magdala Project started in 2009 after an outreach group called TMT had visited the Women's Prison and decided to do something about the conditions in which these women were living. Barnabas partnered with that group and has, ever since, run this ministry with the help of various other partners.

The goal of the Magdala Project is to provide both physical and spiritual help to the encarcerated. In terms of physical needs, we distribute kits filled with articles such as feminine napkin, toilet paper, bath soap and toiletries, laundry soap and more. We have also distributed blankets and food. In terms of spiritual needs, with the help of our chaplains, we organize Bible studies where participants have the opportunity to receive a certicificate for concluding the study as well as the opportunity to receive Christ as their personal Savior.

Our ministry has extended its impact. God has worked in marvelous ways in the lives of the women. We've also had the opportunity to minister to the guards and staff in the prisons. We are excited to see how God is blessing this work.
