Global Leadership Summit
The Global Leadership Summit (GLS) is an initiative started by Bill Hybels and the Willow Creek Association (WCA). It is an opportunity for leaders each year to be inspired, encouraged and refueled for the work God has for them.
Every year, the Willow Creek Church in Illinois, U.S.A., hosts this marvelous conference where top speakers, such as Gen. Collin Powell, T.D. Jakes and Patrick Lencioni, are invited to share their experience and wisdom on various topics related to leadership. After two days packed with wonderful worship, fellowship and training, as partners of the Willow Creek Association, our Barnabs Christian Leadership Center brings back the video recordings of the GLS, we translate them into French and we organize the Summit here in Haiti. The same efforts are being made in 105 countries and we're excited to be part of this global conference.
Our team is excited to see the progress and success this conference has had on this part of our island. In Port-au-Prince, we have hosted more than 500 participants in one of the biggest venues of the capital city. We have seen a similar interest in leaders outside of Port-au-Prince and have thus organized the Summit in two other locations, Cayes and Cap-Haitian, respectively in the South and North of the country.
One of the things we are also proud of is our network of volunteers. They provide wonderful help by hosting our conferences with a mixture of warm hospitality and eagerness to learn about leadership. We are more than happy with the work we are doing in Haiti and also look forward to even more improvement and innovations.
